The official draw for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup took place in the historic city of Diriyah on May 9.
Hosts Saudi Arabia were drawn in Group A alongside Kuwait, Oman, and Palestine. The three-time champions will be aiming seeking their first title since 1996.
During the ceremony, held against the backdrop of the iconic Salwa Palace, the organizers unveiled the tournament’s official slogan, “Ahlan Asia” (Welcome, Asia).
The 19th edition of the continental showpiece is set to take place from January 5 to February 5, 2027, and it will be the first to be hosted by the Kingdom.
The Green Falcons will kick off their campaign against Palestine on January 7, before facing Oman on January 12 and Kuwait on January 17, with all three matches hosted by King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Riyadh.
The tournament will feature 24 teams split into six groups, with matches played across Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar.

Group B: Uzbekistan, Bahrain, North Korea, Jordan
Group C: Iran, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, China
Group D: Australia, Tajikistan, Iraq, Singapore

Group F: Japan, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia
