Al Najmah have secured promotion to the Saudi Pro League for the first time in 22 years after a 2-0 victory over Ohod confirmed their second-place finish in the Saudi First Division.
The club, based in Onaiza in the Al Qassim region north of Riyadh, last featured in the top tier in 2003. Their return caps a remarkable campaign under Portuguese head coach Mário Silva — a former European champion with Porto’s senior side in 2004, who also guided the club’s youth team to UEFA Youth League glory.
